Scotty Joel Venable, 37 of Rome, and Avery Lea Holcomb, 31, of Rome, were arrested at an apartment on Redmond Circle following the execution of a search warrant that led authorities to find a large amount of methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana.
Reports said that officers located meth, synthetic marijuana, numerous scales, glass smoking devices, two handguns, and press paper in various stages of drying meth.
The meth that was found was located in numerous smaller packaging.
Both are charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
Venable is additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.
