Marshall Earl Jones, 49 of Acworth, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after reports said he took someone else’s check and then cashed it at a credit union in Rome.
Reports said that Jones, without the victim’s consent, wrote a check to himself for $488.99 and cashed it back on May 5th.
Jones is charged with 4th degree forgery.
