Two Rome teens, Justin Antonio Glynn, 17, and Malachi Alexander Williams, 17, were arrested at a home on Gordon Avenue after police found them in possession of guns and drugs.
Reports stated that officers went to the home of Glynn in order to do a knock and talk to ask about two wanted fugitives. Officers stated that they saw Williams attempting to hide a handgun by placing it in a trashcan near the porch. However, Williams missed the can and the officer said it fell and hit the ground.
A search was then conducted and resulted in police finding a plastic bag containing marijuana. The gun that was recovered was said to be a Springfield .380 handgun.
Another gun, a Taurus 9mm, and a vape pen with THC was found on Glynn.
Both are charged with possession of a gun by a person under the age of 18.
Williams is additionally charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence.
Glynn is also charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
