Shelton Tremaine Harris, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to abandon methamphetamine in a parking lot at 1911 Dean Avenue in order to avoid arrest.
Reports stated that Harris dropped the drug and then refused to stop walking away from officers.
After being taken into custody Harris then allegedly refused to get into the patrol car.
Harris is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug related objects, abandonment of dangerous drugs and obstruction.
