Alfredo Gomez, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after touching an intimate part of a 67 year-old woman without her consent.
Reports added that when they arrived he proceeded to lie to them about his identity.
The incident occurred at the Super Food Mart on South Broad Street.
Gomez is charged with sexual battery and giving false name to police.
