Roosevelt Cornelius Williams, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a woman and then stole $14 and a pack of cigarettes from a woman on Maple Avenue.
The victim stated that Williams grabbed her by the hair and pulled her during the incident.
He was later found at the Fairbridge Inn on Martha Berry Blvd. While being taken into custody he was found in possession ofa baggie of suspected meth and a glass smoking device.
Williams is charged with theft by taking, simple battery, possession of meth, possession of drug related objects and probation violation.
