Bobby Andrew Holbrook, 67 of Rome, was arrested in Rome this week after reports said he allegedly beat a woman with a baseball bat.
Reports said that the victim suffered injuries to her back and arm.
Reports added that Holbrook also choked the woman until she nearly lost consciousness.
Holbrook is charged with aggravated assault.
