Ashley Lee Hendrix, 39 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to burn the home of his 84 year-old grandfather to the ground with him inside.
Officers added that Hendrix told them that he did not care for his grandfather.
Hendrix is charged with terroristic threats and acts and exploitation of the elderly.
