Stephen Lamond Dean, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he placed his knee on a woman’s throat in an attempt to choke her out. Reports added that Dean then stole money belonging to a 7 year-old child.
Reports said that the child had gotten the money from selling girl scout cookies.
Dean is also accused of stealing electronics belonging to the victim.
Dean is charged with theft by taking, aggravated assault and cruelty to children.
