Kelvin Maurice Pullum, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after an altercation with a person turned to violence on police officers when they arrived.

Reports stated that officers were being dispatched to a dispute that occurred in front of a child when Pullum became violent toward officers.

Officers stated that while taking Pullum into custody he began to kick them while using abusive words. After being placed in the patrol car he then proceeded to kick out a window.  

Pullum also allegedly spat in the face of two officers.

Pullum is charged with simple assault, battery and third degree cruelty to children.

Pullum was charged with two counts battery, four counts felony obstruction, disorderly conduct, interference with government property and escape.
