Patrick Taylor Sims, 24 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he was allegedly found in possession of eight video files of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Reports added that the children being video were being sexually abused. Most videos were of male children being sodomized.
Sims is charged with eight counts of computer pornography and possession of marijuana.
