Joseph William Wells Tapp, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he fled from police after lying to them.
Reports said that Tapp fled on foot after giving them a fake name and date of birth.
The incident occurred at a location on Decatur Street. Tapp is charged with giving false information to police, obstruction, and parole
