Eric Jermaine Montgomery Jr, 21 of Rome, a convicted felon, was arrested this week after reports said a witnesses saw him shot a gun on Jewell Drive.
Reports said that when officers found Montgomery they found a handgun under the passenger seat of his car. They also located suspected marijuana in his jacket pocket.
Montgomery is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and probation violation.
