Steven Kyle Barnette, 32 of Rome, and Olivia Laine Smith, 28 of Rome, were arrested at a home on Third Street after a verbal argument became physical.
Reports said that Smith scratched Barnette and Barnette punch smith during the altercation.
Both are charged with battery.
