Milinda Jo Gowens, 50 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she cursed a police officer in front of a child on Thomas Road.
Reports added that after arriving at the jail Gowens allegedly jerked away from officers, resulting in her handcuff being slung and striking a jailer.
Gowens is charged with disorderly conduct and felony obstruction.
