Douglas Martin King, 39 of Rome, was jailed after reports said he was found with methamphetamine in his pocket at the Dollar General on New Calhoun Highway.
Police stated that the drugs were found after he was accused of swapping a price tag on a toy at the store. Reports went on to say that King placed a $1 tag on a $5 toy.
King is charged with possession of meth and theft by deception.
