Alfred Rudolph Green III, 20 of Rex, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week after reports said he and two others started a riot in the Floyd County Prison.
Reports said that the three men attacked another inmate inside their living area.
The incident occurred in May of last year.
Green is charged with simple assault, battery, rioting in a penal institution, and participant of gang activity.
