Alvin Rashun Turner, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to choke a woman to death.
Reports said that Turner committed the acts in front of a child.
It occurred at Turner’s home on Gordon Avenue.
Turner is charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to children.
