Michael Shane Swift, 37 of Aragon, was arrested this week after reports said he beat and choked a woman placing her in fear of her life.
Reports added that Swift proceeded to hold her against her will in an effort to prevent her from getting help.
Swift is charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, and battery.
