Zakelvis Mylea Mayes, 37 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he shoved a woman to the ground, causing an injury to her head.
Reports said that the victim and the suspect had lived together for two years before the attack.
The incident occurred at a location on Old Rockmart Road.
Mayes is charged with simple battery and parole violation.
