Coty Davonte Dodson, 25 of Rome, was arrested at the Cottis Inn after he allegedly hit a woman in the face with a water bottle and a closed fist during an argument.
Reports added that Dodson then stole the victim’s cellphone.
The victim reported that the water bottle had been frozen at the time of the attack.
The incident occurred in the presence of two children.
Dodson is charged with battery, theft by taking, cruelty to children and probation violation.
