Joshua Tristan Thomas, 23 of Cedartown, was arrested in Rome after he allegedly hit his mother in the chest with a closed fist.
Reports said that the victim suffered visible bruising.
The incident occurred at a home on Chubb Road last October 21st.
Thomas is charged with battery.
