Sharona Colleen Taylor, 33 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said she nearly collided with a police officer as she was attempting to leave the scene of a 911 call.
Reports said that after police stopped Taylor she was found to be driving on a suspended license. The officer then stated that he saw a glass container with marijuana inside the vehicle. Several other pills were then located during a search.
During the course of investigating Taylor it was determined that she had been on her cellphone while driving as well as not wearing her seat belt.
Taylor is also accused of stealing another’s Oxycodone.
Taylor is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule III controlled substance, drugs not in original container, theft by taking, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, seat bet violation and violating the hands free law.
