Tevis Marquis Scott, 27 of Rome, turned himself in this week after reports said he grabbed his wife by the throat while she was holding their child.
Reports added that Scott also broke a coffee table while engaged in the altercation.
The incident occurred at a home on North Division Street on December 14th.
Scott is charged with battery, criminal trespass and cruelty to children.
