Two men, Cody Peter Edwards, 17 of Cartersville, and 21 year-old Austin Lee Matis, of Rome, were arrested at the Harvest Moon Café on Broad Street this week after reports said they were found drunk and burglarizing the business.
Reports said that the duo was attempting to steal bottles of alcohol.
Police went on to state that while being taken into custody they located counterfeit money.
They added that the Mathis also threw the bottles of alcohol on the ground and the road in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Edwards is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, giving false information to police, obstruction, possession of alcohol by a minor and public drunk.
Mathis is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, forgery, public drunk, littering, tampering with evidence and obstruction.
