Dante Rishad Edmondson, 27 of Rome, was arrested after being tased following a chase with police.
Reports said that officers attempted to pull Edmondson over for not having a functioning break light. However, Edmondson reportedly fled at a high rate of speed.
Police stated that they attempted to use a PIT maneuver on Dodd Blvd, but was unsuccessful. Reports went on to say that Edmondson struck a dumpster and numerous curbs before stopping. It was then, police said, Edmondson fled on foot into a wooded area.
Edmondson was finally captured after officers deployed his taser on him.
A search led police to find a bag of methamphetmine, crack cocaine, synthetic marjiana and digital scales.
Edmondson is charged with possession of cocaine, during on wrong side of road, driving without license, no turn signals, duty upon striking fixture, obstruction, hit and run, too fast for conditions, passing in ano passing zone, possession of drug related objects, possession of meth and a stop sign violation.
