Christy Nichole Tallent, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she left a dog and puppies in a kennel with no food or water for an extended period of time. Reports added that a large amount of feces was also on the floor.
While being taken into custody police said she had two guns under a mattress and marijuana in the home.
Tallent is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, and cruelty to animals.
