Kurt Ryan Wood, 45 of Rome, was jailed after reports said he stole over $1,071 in power from Georgia Power by bypassing a connector and meter.
Reports added that the theft occurred at his home at 206 Oakwood Street.
Wood is charged with felony theft of services.
