Adairsville Police Officers recently arrested a woman after noticing a red pick up truck stopped in the middle of the roadway with its headlights on just prior to midnight. Reports said that when the officer turned his patrol car around to investigate the vehicle suddenly turned off onto another street.
Officers made a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Ms. Nora Espy.
When officers questioned Ms. Espy about why she was parked in the roadway she made statements that were inconsistent with her actions.
During this encounter officers also detected the odor of Marijuana coming from Ms. Espy’s clothing and vehicle.
Upon a subsequent search of her and the vehicle, several bags of suspected Marijuana and several bags of pills were located.
Ms. Espy was booked into the Bartow County jail on numerous charges.
