Ray William Chastain, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he attacked a 35 year-old woman, resulting in numerous injuries to her face and neck.
Reports said that the victim suffered a blackened eye, numerous scratches to her neck and a cut to her upper lip.
The incident occurred at a home on Lynn Avenue back on November 22nd.
Chastain is charged with battery.
