Michael Wade Hastings, 29 of Rome, was arrested at his home on Manning Lake Road this week after reports said he stabbed his 49 year-old father in the stomach, with the “intent to commit murder”.
Reports added that he also hit the victim in the back of the head with a closed fist.
Hastings is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and simple battery.
