Joshua Morrison, 31, Wesley Hodge, 35, and Michael Hastings, 28, all of Rome were arrested this week for obstructing law enforcement and assault.

According to police, Hastings was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim in front of Buffalo’s Café on 440 Shorter Ave. when he discharged his firearm at the victim while the victim was running away. Police determined he was not justified in firing his weapon as the victim was fleeing. Hastings fired multiple times and hit the victim once in the back. As a result, the victim suffered serious injury.

Joshua Morrison and Wesley Hodge were taken into questioning about the incident where they lied about their knowledge about the whereabouts of the firearm used in the shooting.

Hodge and Morrison are charged with willful obstruction of law enforcement.

Hastings is charged with felony aggravated assault and felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
