Tonya Astin, 49, of Rome, was arrested at Floyd Medical Center Monday afternoon for stealing from the gift shop.
According to police, Astin was stopped by Floyd security for shoplifting $18 worth of goods from the hospital gift shop. When officers were searching her, they found her to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe containing residue inside.
Astin is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, theft by shoplifting, and probation violation.
