A convicted felon, Claude Cliff Terhune III, 50 of Rome, was jailed this week after police said they found him to be in possession of numerous guns.
Officers said that they were doing a compliance check at his home on Mount Alto Road when they located a Ranger. 22 riffle and an Smith and Wesson .12 gauge shotgun.
Terhune is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and probation violation.
