Joshua Ryan Crook, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he fired a rifle at a 17 year-old male. The shot went through the victim’s back truck window and hit him in the shoulder.

After the altercation police added that Crook attempted to hide two riffles that were used in the assault.

The incident occurred at First Bank Mortgage on East 1st Street.

Crook is charged with aggravated assault, battery, tampering with evidence, criminal damage to property and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
