Douglas Allen Young, 49 of Rome, was found with synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop at the intersection of Turner McCall Bvd and Riverbend Drive.
Reports said that officers determined that Young was driving while under the influence of drugs.
Young is charged with the possession of synthetic marijuana, DUI, failure to maintain lane and probation violation.
