Frankie Eugene Craig, 27 of Lindale, was jailed for fighting deputies while he was being placed under arrest.
Reports added that Craig, a convicted felon, also recently sold a gun to someone.
Craig is charged with felony obstruction, prohibited person attempting to purchase a firearm.
