Joseph Dennis Biuso, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he displayed a badge of the Rockmart Police Department in an attempt to get out of a ticket.
It was then discovered that Biuso is not an officer with the department.
The traffic stop occurred at the CVS on Turner McCall Blvd.
Biuso is charged with impersonating a public officer, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance.
