Tyrone Steve Daniel, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he grabbed and struck a woman in the face, placing her in fear of her safety.
Reports said that the incident occurred back on January 31 at a home on Rockmart Highway.
Daniel is charged with simple battery.
