A 37 year-old homeless Rome man, David Michael Murphy, was arrested this week on Broad Street and 7th Avenue after he allegedly lied to a police officer before making physical contact with him.
The officer reported that the contact that Murphy made with him was in a “provoking manner”.
Murphy Is charged with battery and giving false information to police.
