George Edward Price, 40 of Rome, was arrested Monday after he allegedly stole televisions on numerous occasions from the East Rome Wal-Mrt.

Reports stated that on August 30th Price stole two 32” TCL Roku TV’s that had a “spider wrap” security device attached.

The prices for the TV’s were listed at $135 each, while the price of the spider wraps totaled $146.

While being arrested and read his Miranda rights on Monday, Price allegedly admitted to stealing 43 inch TV and home theater system from the store.  He also told police that he traded the items for a 9mm handgun that was found.

Price is charged with theft by taking, two counts of theft by shoplifting and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
