Andrew Steven Silvey, 35 of Rome, was jailed over the weekend after police said he was in possession of drugs while involved in a traffic accident.
Reports stated that the wreck occurred at Kingston Highway and Wilshire Road. While stopped police said he was found with pills and a bag of marijuana.
Silvey is charged with possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drugs not in the original container, driving on a suspended or revoked license and failure to maintain a lane.
