Robert Dewayne Timmerman, 31 of Rome, was arrested over the weekend after police said he violated a protection order and made contact with a 25 year-old woman.
Reports added that Timmerman then made physical contact with the victim in order to get control of her cellphone.
Timmerman is charaged with simple battery and aggravated stalking
