Charles Davey Engler, 59 of Rome, was arrested at a home on Cave Spring Road after allegedly injuring a 12 year-old girl.
Reports stated that Engler grabbed and left marks and scratches on the child after a verbal altercation involving her mother.
Engler is charged with first degree cruelty to children
