James Carl Hackett II, 31 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested in Rome this week after he was allegedly found asleep behind the wheel of a car stopped in the middle of the road.

Reports said that Hackett was found blocking two lanes of traffic on Sherwood Road at Shorter Avenue.

Police added that they found a glass smoking pipe containing suspected meth in the vehicle.

Hackett is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, criminal trespass, DUI, prohibited parking and failure to maintain lane.
