Teddy Connor Hutchins Jr, 28 of Carrollton, was jailed in Floyd County Monday after police said he took a 2-year old and attempted to hide the child from its mother.
Authorities stated that the woman had been granted temporary custody in Carroll County Superior Court.
Warrant information stated that the child was later spotted by family in Floyd County at an address on Bethel Church Road in Silver Creek.
Hutchins is charged with kidnapping.
