Keisha Helene Taylor, 36 of Canton, was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly nearly hit a Floyd County police officer with her vehicle.
Reports said that the officer had to quickly move in order to not be hit by the car on Highway 27 at Doyle Road.
Police added that Taylor then tried to elude police, but was later captured.
A search of the vehicle uncovered the drug Lyrica, which was not prescribed to her.
She is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, attempting to elude a police officer, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, a stop sign violation, speeding, driving without insurance, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving.
