Brandon Monroe Samuels, 34 of Rome, was arrested after allegedly grabbing a 35 year-old woman by the arm and then proceeded to raise his hand to strike her.
Reports added that Samuels then proceeded to hit the woman in the face, resulting in visible bodily harm.
The altercation occurred at a location on Woodbine Avenue.
Samuels is charged with battery and simple assault.
