Gregory Lynn Hunter, 34 of Lindale, was arrested this week after he was accused of bruising the finger of a woman he is having a child with.
Reports added that he then took the telephone out of her hand when she attempted to call 911 for help.
Hunter is charged with simple battery and hindering a person making a 911 call.
