A polk county man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after a standoff with officers.
Deputy Jonathan Blackmon reports that a man fired a gun and another man, forcing him to take cover for hours.
Sheriff Johnny Moats was able to talk down the suspect who surrendered without incident.
The suspect, Jamie Ogle, was taken into custody and was questioned before being charged.
Ogle reportedly fired his weapon multiple times at his neighbor. The police obtained a phone number and talked him down over the cell phone.
Floyd County Swat was on standby while the police attempted to solve the situation.
Rockmart Police and Georgia State Patrol troopers also assisted in resolving the standoff.
